What are the different service levels?

Pay Check Processing

FPS calculates your payroll, including the deductions and withholding for all applicable tax jurisdictions. With Pay Check Processing these amounts are reflected on an FPS prepared paycheck drawn on your bank account. You do not have to furnish check stock.

Agency checks will also be prepared, if requested, for any other deductions (e.g. 401k, garnishments, child support, etc.). You may sign your paychecks or FPS will use a facsimile of your signature. In addition, FPS can seal your payroll checks into window envelopes at no extra charge.

Pay Stub Processing

Pay Stub Processing is for those who don’t mind writing checks, but don’t like to calculate and track tax withholdings and deductions. FPS calculates the pay and updates all of the year-to-date figures. We then provide you with all of the information needed to prepare your own pay checks.

Direct Deposit

Direct Deposit electronically transfers your employees’ pay into their own checking or savings accounts. Your employees will appreciate having their funds readily available on payday without a trip to the bank. With Direct Deposit your employees will still receive FPS prepared pay stubs.

Professional Reports

With any of the above options, professionally designed reports will accompany your pay checks detailing your total labor costs for the period.

Tax Deposit Service

In addition to preparing the checks, with Tax Deposit Service, FPS will make the Federal deposit by coupon or EFTPS. For state deposits, funds will be forwarded to the state using the appropriate form or using EFT, if the state has this service available.

Tax Administration

After paying your employees and depositing the taxes due, the IRS still requires the filing of various information forms including forms 940, 941, W-2 and W-3. State and local governments may require withholding reconciliation and unemployment payments. With Tax Administration, the headaches of preparing these forms are left with FPS.

Additional Benefits

FPS retains copies of all your information for 5 years. If your records are destroyed, FPS can furnish copies. FPS will help you with your payroll questions and problems.
