Comprehensive Accounting

Federated has 20 accounting divisions of three persons each. A division keeps the same clients and specializes according to their individual needs. Many key accounting personnel have advanced business degrees or have completed IRS courses in tax preparation responsibility. All key personnel complete continuing education requirements each year.

Tax Reporting

Federated uses its expertise and reference library year-round to assure each member every available tax benefit, along with full compliance with the law.

Federated now accepts 1040 information online, via the Tax Notebook website. If you are a Federated member, please click the TaxNotebook icon above to enter your information.

Payroll Service

Many clients requested Pay Check preparation in addition to the usual services provided. Federated Payroll Services began providing this additional service approximately 15 years ago.

Yearly Financial Analysis

This comprehensive report includes:

1) cost review
2) sales analysis
3) budget preparation
4) pricing recommendations

It also includes a projection of goals for the coming year.

Business Advice and Planning

Business analysts will advise a client on the feasibilty of a new building program, special pricing problems, incorporating, buying new automotive equipment, ensuring competitive salary rates, how to conduct an Open House, and many other questions.

Competent Field Service

Field representatives regularly visit members in their respective territories to provide personal counsel on a wide variety of business and management problems. Our consultants are uniquely qualified by training and experience.

Federated Collection Service

With our members retaining control at all times, our staff prepares follow-up materials for their approval and mailing. Direct contact with clients is made only after specific authorization. Federated's "Initial Memos" build goodwill, lessen the chance for misunderstandings, and initiate requests for payment in a courteous manner. Subsequent contacts consist of statements, tastefully worded letters, etc. All are furnished in a timely fashion, using a high-speed computer and laser printers.

We can also help in those few instances when clients decline to pay voluntarily. Referral to "approved" attorneys or collection agencies is only made when authorized by members on a "no collection - no fee" basis.

Family Survey

Federated prepares a confidential survey of each member's families to encourage their comments and/or suggestions for improvement. All are mailed from Springfield approximately one month after the funeral. Unfavorable replies are handled promptly and with the funeral director's assistance to quickly resolve any problems.

Personalized Forms

Federated individualizes each client's financial forms to reflect the funeral home's own identity. All are in good taste and easy to understand.
